Panama City Christian Center was formed in 1977 as an independent charismatic fellowship of Christian believers. Their goal was to be able to provide a place for spiritual, lively worship, and to have the capability to reach out in ministry without the restrictions imposed by many traditional Pentecostal denominations The church met at several locations until 1980, when the present property (213 E. 13th St.) was purchased. The founding pastors; Dr. Howard & Rosella Ridings, ministered here until February, 1992.
Summer of 2004, they established a new church; Heart of Orlando Worship Center, located in the center of Orlando.

Rev. Wesley and Carma Odle then served as pastors until September 1999.
Dr. Warren and Suzanne Drake have served as senior pastors since September 1999.
